Moment Out of Time Excerpt

With her stomach full, George rolled herself back into the warehouse where Georgiadis Fireworks and Demolition was located. Since she had been a small child, GFD had been her home away from home. She felt at ease working in her family’s business. They never took a second glance at the fact she was disabled. Instead, they only saw the quality of her work and had come to rely on her skills for their more difficult customers. That by itself was more than enough for her. Her work had replaced her desire for a family of her own and a husband.

It might’ve been different if you’d only gotten that hunky firefighter’s last name, Alessandra. You wanted him until you begged for him.

Oh shut up, she told her inner voice. It’s neither here nor there. I’ve got my job and it’s enough.

Yeah, right!

As she rounded the corner, the first thing she saw was her cousin Genio giving two men hell. Even though she loved him, he was a fanatic about having quiet while he worked and was one of the reasons he normally worked later in the day, to avoid all the hustle in the warehouse.

Knowing she was again going to have to rescue some unfortunate from her cousin’s hot Greek temper, she rolled closer. She came to a stop as the taller of the two men turned and she caught a glimpse of his rugged profile and shoulder length sandy brown hair pulled back at the nape of his neck. Noah..! Her body trembled while she was taken back nearly a year ago and their last encounter.
